No-layer cards

Over the weekend my mom asked if I could make her some "plain" cards to keep on hand. I said, "of course" and didn't think any more about it until I got home and tried to start. Then, I thought to myself, "what does she mean 'plain'?". I guess no-layer cards are about as plain as is possible. I didn't realize how hard it would be not to add embellishments, though. Some have sentiments, although mom preferred that most of them be completely blank so that they can be used for pretty much any occasion (do you know how hard that was mom?) While not much creativity was needed for these, I have to admit that it was a little bit fun to just crank out some cards to keep on hand. And the sheer number of cards that I had laying all around me got my mojo flowing! ha ha, who woulda thunk it?! Here's a small sampling.

And here's a card she asked me to make for my cousin who will be graduating high school (home school) in a month or so.

I got a ton of cards made over the weekend, but I'm only going to post a couple of cards each day b/c I'm sure I won't get too many done through the week!

Michelle & my mom both made me some plain cards that I keep in a box. They do come in handy when I don't have time to make a card myself.

The graduation card looks great.
